Create your first work area

A work area is a physical job site. Employees check in against work areas in the Crewly app, so create at least one accurate site before asking the team to use the app. Admins can create sites on the web or in the Crewly app.

1. Web: open Work Areas → Add work area. App: open Areas → add a work area.
2. Enter the client/site name and address. Use address search when available so GPS coordinates are accurate.
3. Set geofence radius in metres (start with 100m; increase for large commercial sites).
4. Assign employees who should see and check in to this site.
5. Save the work area.

Assigned employees see the site under Areas in the Crewly app. Unassigned employees will not see it in their primary list.
