What is a work area?
A work area is a job site with address, GPS pin, geofence, assignments, and optional documents.
Create a work area
Add a new job site from Work Areas on the web or in the Crewly app.
Edit a work area
Update site details, team, documents, or geofence on web or in the Crewly app.
Set the work area address
Use address search so the map pin and geofence are accurate.
Set the geofence radius
Choose a radius in metres that fits the site boundary.
Assign employees to a work area
Control who can see and check into a site — on web or in the Crewly app.
Why a work area is not visible to an employee
Usually missing assignment, unfinished invitation, or stale app data.
Archive or complete a work area
Change status when a job is finished so active lists stay clean.
Create a task
Add a task tied to a work area from the web or the Crewly app.
Assign a task
Give a task to one or more employees (web or Crewly app).
Update task status
Admins and employees can move tasks through open, in progress, and completed.
Add documents to a work area
Attach PDFs or images such as plans or safety documents for the assigned team.
